Grand Opening: The Crawfish Barn

The Pearl Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony Friday for The Crawfish Barn on Barnett Drive in Pearl.

The restaurant and catering business is located behind Cool Fuel Mart Convenience store/Mack’s Tobacco on the frontage road close to Kroger.

Groundbreaking: Genghis Mongolian Grill in Flowood

The Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership held a groundbreaking ceremony Friday for Genghis Mongolian Grill in Flowood.

The new restaurant will be in the Dogwood Festival area.

LongHorn Steakhouse opens in Flowood

Flowood's newest restaurant -- LongHorn Steakhouse -- officially opened Monday.

The 6,200-square foot restaurant is located at 114 Laurel Park Cove in the Dogwood area near the Flowood Chamber of Commerce.

According to the restaurant, it has created about 80 jobs in the community.

LongHorn is open Sunday though Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Ground broken for Brandon Chick-fil-A

The City of Brandon celebrated the official groundbreaking for a new Chick-fil-A restaurant Tuesday morning.

The restaurant will be located on Disotell Boulevard off Crossgates Boulevard and is scheduled to open in August.

O'Charley's is Pearl chamber's Business of the Month

O'Charley's was selected as the Pearl Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month in December.

O'Charley's opened in the City of Pearl in 2000. It is located on Riverwind Drive.

RIBBON CUTTING: El Mariachi Mexican Grill

The Pearl Chamber of Commerce held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday for the new El Mariachi Mexican Grill on Bierdeman Road in the Heart of Pearl Shopping Center.

The restaurant's house specialty is a Chimi-Cheesecake: a creamy cheesecake wrapped in a pastry tortilla, fried until flaky and golden, then dusted with cinnamon sugar, drizzled with chocolate, and topped with a dollop of whipped cream and a cherry, according to the chamber's Facebook page.
