Florence man sentenced to 25 years for child porn | Crime

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A Florence man is going to prison for 25 years for possession of child pornography.

Attorney General Jim Hood says 49-year-old Dwight Brinson was sentenced Tuesday after entering an open plea of guilty in Rankin County Circuit Court to three counts of possession of child pornography.

Brinson is also involved in another criminal case. He was arrested in August 2011 and charged with three counts of gratification of lust. The victim in that case is a young family member.

According to the Attorney General’s office those charges are still pending in Rankin County, and the District Attorney’s office is handling that case.
