2 Rankin County jailers arrested | Crime

RANKIN COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - Two Rankin County Sheriff's Department officers were arrested Tuesday following an investigation by the department.

Chris Terry and Houston Ratcliff are charged with one count each of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, said Sheriff Brian Bailey.

The two men are jailers at the Adult Detention Center and are not certified deputies, Bailey said.

The sheriff said the pair were off duty when they purchased beer for a 19 year old.

The two men are on administrative leave and are out of jail on bond. Justice court will handle the case.
