Abandoned truck draws attention from I-20 motorists

RICHLAND, MS (Mississippi News Now)- There's a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck lodged on the east bank of the Pearl River, just below Interstate 20, in Rankin County. It is not clear how the truck got there, or exactly when.

The truck was reported stolen to Jackson Police in April of 2011. Richland police say it has been there since 2008.

It is in a place that is not easily accessible by vehicle, in the Pearl River swamp. This view of it from skycopter is about the only way to get video of it, but people with good eyes can see it from Interstate 20.
